Modus operandi

HOW I WORK

HISTORY

The process of gathering information regarding a patient 's medical history , current physical condition , and lifestyle in order to better understand the context and potential causes of the presenting physical symptoms.

INSPECTION

Process of visual and palpatory evaluation of the patient's body, in order to detect external signs of dysfunction, possible inflammation and postural alterations.

PALPATION

Tactile assessment technique used to examine the texture, temperature, tension, and sensitivity of specific body tissues to identify areas of tension, muscle spasm, swelling, or other signs of musculoskeletal dysfunction .

ASSESSMENT

Procedures to evaluate a patient's strength , flexibility , balance , coordination , and other physical abilities . Furthermore, it is possible to investigate a joint in depth and put stress on the structures to be investigated. These tests help determine the patient's functional status .

SIMPLE TESTS AND SPECIAL TESTS

Procedures to evaluate a patient's strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and other physical abilities . Furthermore, it is possible to investigate a joint in depth and put the structures to be analyzed under stress. These tests help determine the patient's functional status .

MANUAL AND/OR INSTRUMENTAL TREATMENT

Central part of the therapy where, once all the visual and palpatory information has been collected, manual techniques are put into practice with the possible aid of instrumental therapies such as tecar or electrostimulation .

RETEST

It is tested again in order to evaluate change over time , confirm previous results or measure the effectiveness of the techniques used.

THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE

Physical activity and movement program specifically designed and adapted to improve the patient's muscle strength , flexibility, balance and endurance, in order to reduce pain, restore function and aid recovery from injury.

FUNCTIONAL BANDAGE

This type of bandage aims to provide joint support and stability , while simultaneously limiting unwanted movement that could cause further injury. Functional bandaging is designed to allow a safe and effective range of motion, allowing the patient to continue physical activity with a reduced likelihood of additional harm. The bandage can be elastic or inelastic (kinesiotape).

Who do I turn to?

Patients with sports injuries
Athletes who are injured during sporting activities often seek the help of a physical therapist to rehabilitate and regain full functionality.

Patients with muscular or skeletal disorders
those who suffer from conditions such as muscle pain, joint pain, arthritis, tendinitis and posture-related injuries.

Post-operative patients
After orthopedic or neurological surgeries, patients often require physiotherapy treatment to speed recovery and restore muscle and joint function.

Very young patients
children with scoliosis, torticollis, plagiocephaly and musculoskeletal disorders in general.

Elderly patients
who suffer from age-related conditions, such as arthritis, arthrosis, osteoporosis and loss of balance.

In a less specific way I also address neurological patients
patients with nervous system injuries, such as stroke, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions, in order to improve functionality and quality of life.

THE TREATMENTS

Within a physiotherapy session it is possible to use more than one type of treatment , therefore, depending on the patient's needs, we will use the right progression of manual and instrumental treatments to achieve our objective.

Therefore, a single type of manipulation or treatment will not be used but the various techniques will be combined to have a global impact in the area of interest that is as satisfactory and effective as possible.
